Admissions into Year R
We can offer 25 places. If your child was born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021, they are eligible to start school in September 2025. All admission applications must be made through Hampshire County Council via https://www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/admissions/applicationprocess/yearR
Applications for September 2025 open 1st November 2024. The deadline for applications is 15th January 2025.

In Year Transfers
If your child is already as school elsewhere and you would like them to transfer to Newtown Soberton Infant School, please contact the school office for information regarding the availability of places and to book a tour. Applications are made online via Hampshire County Council Admissions Department.

Year 2 Infant to Junior Transfer
If your child is currently in Year 2 you will be required to make an application for a place to Junior School as the transfer is not automatic. The dates and procedure for this process is the same for an application for a place in Year R.
