As you are aware, due to the Covid-19 outbreak we have had to cancel our fundraising events. This means a loss of most of our annual funds. For this reason, we have signed up to easyfundraising as an alternative way of raising funds for our pupils during this time. This is a free, safe way to raise money for the school through online shopping with any of the 4,000 retailers linked to the scheme. Please click here to visit our fundraising page and sign up to support us. Thank you for your support.

I’m delighted to say the children have achieved their first 1000km reaching Switzerland! Well done everybody keep those miles coming in.
It doesn’t matter how you achieve the miles, ( walk, run, cycle, scoot, skateboard, rollerskate!) the idea is to get active and enjoy some screen free time!
FONS is a committee made up of parents, carers and friends of the school who are dedicated to raising money and providing extra curricular activities for the children throughout the year. In 2018-2919 FONS raised an amazing £10, 000! Money raised by FONS is used in two ways; Firstly, to allow key curriculum enhancements (in 2018 this included swimming lessons for Year 1 and a whole school trip to Winchester Science Centre to support pupil’s learning about the Moon Landing Anniversary). Secondly, the money raised is helps to fund improvements to the school environment like the installation of the Trim Trail Climbing Equipment. This year we are hoping to be able to create a school garden and outdoor learning space for our Year 1 & 2 pupils. At our first meeting on Thursday 19th September 2019, FoNS was able to donated £5000 towards this project. Look out for exciting changes in the Spring Term! As a small rural school, government funding cannot cover such important curriculum enrichment and the money raised by FONS is essential for ensuring our pupils have a broad range of fun educational experiences. |
