Loving our learning
We have been practising our letter formation using Kinetic Letters, exploring number bonds to 10, planning, creating and evaluating our own junk modelling projects, learning about life cycles, ordering pictures into the correct sequence and stretching our imagination during a variety of open-ended role play.
EYFS Summer 1
Our sponsored mini marathon!
Our Class took part in a sponsored event when e did lots of exercises around the landmarks of London. We had great fun and raised over £450 which will be used to set up our new woodwork area!
Little City
We had a morning of imaginative role play in Little City...we visited the beauticians, built walls and bridges with the bricks, took our pets to the pet shop, weighed parcels in the post office and so much more...
Chicks
As part of our learning about animal life cycles we have seen our own chicks hatch in class and learnt how long before the chicks hatch, what they need to grow and stay healthy, and observed how they change and grow.
This half term we have been re-telling stories using props, puppets and small parts, remembering to sequence the events correctly. We have looked at stories within stories, such as the change of weather as the witch flies on her journey through the story.
Clay art
We collected lots of items during our woods walk and we made clay tile art by pressing the objects into squares of clay. We were amazed at the patterns they made and used lots of interesting vocabulary to describe our creations.
